justin jarvinen - founder & ceo

Take a look at Justin on his recent honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean. Looks refreshed, doesn't he? Wait til he sees the mountain of stuff on his desk when he gets back!
Justin founded VerveLife on a great idea back in 2003 and has worked fearlessly since to build a world-class (and completely different) media & entertainment organization.
His original concept was to deliver music programming directly to fitness apparatus utilizing a technology he developed that allowed a user to input specifics such as their height, a running speed or intensity - or even a desired percent to target heart rate - and the treadmill would stream music whose beats-per-minute corresponded to the user's footstep, pacing their workout. He attempted delivering the content via satellite, then pitched the idea to Nike in 2005.
While developing the business, Justin quickly became an expert on all things music and, leveraging his technology background, began building out his vision for a fresh new music delivery model. VerveLife began developing innovative music download promotions for brands but quickly moved to producing exclusive content and securing high-profile deals with artists such as Rihanna, The Plain White T's, Smashing Pumpkins, Lifehouse, Enrique Iglesias, Jose Gonzales, Santana, Metro Station, Brad Paisley, Gretchen Wilson, Taylor Swift, Josh Kelley, Kate Voegel, and dozens of others, allowing VerveLife to deliver "experiences" rather than the commodity, transaction-based "music promotions" so many companies are launching today. VerveLife's vision was to provide a brand of entertainment that was authentic, exclusive, interactive, scalable, and cost effective, all in one turn key offering. The original software he'd developed became the robust campaign management and media delivery platform that exists today, called Rhymba.
Today, VerveLife gives global brands unprecedented access to the world's best talent and the media they create. VerveLife has relationships with many of the largest and most influential management companies and has developed world-class creative and technology practices, earning the company praise as one of the top technology companies in North America by Red Herring Magazine. In fact, VerveLife has won awards for just about everything it's produced.
Under Justin's leadership, VerveLife continues to evolve into a global digital media & entertainment company; VerveLife Entertainment ("The E") is an exciting new talent management & promotion company launched by VerveLife in October 2008. The company has moved into films, television, and gaming, and has plans to roll out several exciting new media properties over the next couple years.
Justin's notebooks are crammed full of business ideas, pricing models, technology thoughts, and goofy stuff that might not ever see the light of day, so we'll all have to see what's next. He's been described by advisors as "a genius who knows how to have fun" and spends any spare time he has developing other concepts like Photo.com, which he founded in 2006, and Optionit, a global marketplace for sporting and event ticket options, launching this Summer..... oh yeah, and hanging out with his beautiful new bride, Jillian.
