pallen's pick - citizen cope- the rainwater lp

On March 2nd, 2010, Clarence Greenwood, better known as Citizen Cope, will be releasing The Rainwater LP. Cope, known for hits like “Son’s Gonna Rise” and “Every Waking Moment”, is a soulful singer-songwriter who blends rock with hip-hop and folk and reggae.  His music has drawn him comparisons to Marvin Gaye, Ray Lamontagne, and Ben Harper.  Although The Rainwater LP is not out yet, I got an early listen to a few tracks including “Healing Hands”.  This beautiful track epitomizes his passionate, whimsical style.   Be sure to pick up The Rainwater LP when it comes out on March 2nd. Until then, visit www.citizencope.com for a free download of “Way Down in the Hole”.
